AACG Collectors' Travel Network

Should we call it “Collectors' Travel ”? Better call it “How to see fabulous private collections”.

That is our predicament in trying to describe the trips that all of us take out of town and when time permits: seeing fantastic private collections.

We all travel to different cities all over America.  What a wonderful opportunity to see privately owned collections where pieces of art have been carefully chosen by individuals or couples for their own pleasure.  They all love to share and show off.  We love “talking” glass.  We all love to share stories, whether about artists, collectors, galleries, museum shows, etc.

How about going to a city, calling a number beforehand, and taking a trip to a home that has people in it that share your interest, and your love for a material that is so unique and appealing.

The call is to one of our representatives throughout the U.S.A. and in Montreal, Canada.  The friends, is a given, since we all share the same interests.  The pleasure: is shared by all.  It is a win, win situation.

Take advantage of a program that is not common among collectors of other material. Come to a home and share our love of art.

Instructions on How to See Fabulous Private Collections (Open to AACG Members only):

*Before traveling to a city in the USA or Montreal, Canada, call the number of a commitee member (see list of numbers, below).  That person will give you names and telephone numbers of collectors who have agreed to welcome you to their homes and show their collection to AACG members.

Visiting PRIVATE ART COLLECTIONS is generally not possible in the Art World.  So this is an opportunity unique to AACG Members.

And consider OPENING your home to AACG members who visit your city.  Call Anna Mendel (514-0941 or amendel@sympatico.ca) or fill in the form below to add your name to “AACG Collectors' Travel Network List ”.
